Small gripe at 16:25 … Max makes it sound like the Wonderful Wizard of Oz was pro-gold standard. The book was actually pro SILVER and echoed William Jennings Bryan’s belief that by demonetizing silver in 1873 (Coinage Act) and going strictly to a gold standard that the banking and corporate interests (specifically railroads) effectively robbed farmers and factory workers.
