But, during Reagan’s administration we went from the world’s greatest lender to the world’s gratest debtor. Reagan talked about smaller, limited government but did the oppisite. What people dont know about tax cuts for the rich is they defer it to something else. They cut taxes, then they increase taxes, for instance Reagan cut income tax but raised taxes on social security.

@ricochetVendetta You are talking about the icing, and not the cake. This kind of thing has been going on since the 80s, corporations simply not investing in employing people and instead consolidating their wealth. This has led to unemployment, underemployment and lower average wages, and with less money in the lower part of the economy, there is less impetus to invest in providing jobs, because it is more profitable to invest in consolidation or dirivitives.
Wait, you’re telling me that yet another aspect of Reaganomics doesn’t do anything it promised to the American public, but helps the rich get richer? Wow that’s strange…
