Take pills last resort to cure the pain

Chan Haldeman is chiropractic, of Vietnamese origin, has developed skills with their hands, is a pianist and likes to fix things, health care and benefit to using their hands is another thing she loves; isn’t against medicine, but think is best chiropractic treatment before resorting to surgery or medication.

It’s not that Chan Haldeman is against medicine, she just thinks it’s necessary to try everything possible before taking pills to cure pain.

She even contemplated a career as a pharmacist. Her career as a doctor? Blood was in the way. Her Vietnamese heritage has a long history in natural healing, but before she came to the United States, she had never heard of a chiropractor.

“I got a call one day from my brother (Benjamin Nguyen Tang Le), and he told me he had a friend who’s father was a chiropractor and he helped him a lot,” Haldeman said. “So I thought it sounded interesting. I looked into it as a career, and I decided that I do like it.”

Haldeman, who came to the United States for education — as did her brother, who sells real estate in Florida — has always been a hands-on kind of person.

“I am a piano player and I like to fix anything I can with my hands, it made me very interested in that for my career,” she said. “It is a great alternative for health care before people opt for surgery or some other medicine.”
